Year One

It's been years since I've written on a blog. Since the last time I wrote many things in my life changed. Some of those changes were both positive and negative. Though this post is not about me, there is something I want to get off my chest. Financially, I'm not well-off, but that doesn't mean I can't help out when I can. Last year I had the fortunate opportunity to purchase two Nintendo Switches at launch. One for me, and the other I wanted to donate. Regrettably life had other plans for me, so after a long hiatus I'm finally able to give the Switch away.

Now that the Nintendo Switch has reached its one year anniversary, it was time to give that lonely system (along with Super Bomberman R) which remained dormant in my closet a much deserved new owner. Who better to receive the hottest game console out there than children suffering from cancer.

Special gift for the children of St. Jude

My sole reason for doing this was to make sure those children have the same joy I had when I first played a Nintendo system. What they are going through is completely unfair and difficult; this is the least I can do to take their minds off such a burden. However, this won't be the last time I donate to them. Once spring arrives, they'll enjoy a little something new called Labo.

So if you can, if you have the means, please donate what you can to St. Jude's Children Hospital or a charity of your choosing. Doing this was always about how incredible the act of giving to those in need is just as enjoyable as collecting and playing video games. It's something I passionately pursue when I obtain the chance. To those who are reading this, hopefully it's something that you want to do one day as well. Trust me when I tell you: helping to change the lives of others will eventually change yours.
